This gravel-covered property needed a complete overhaul to make it a functional space where the family could relax and entertain while adding serious curb appeal. Due to the configuration of the surrounding properties, there was a 15’x15’ chunk missing from the back corner, making the space feel awkward and unbalanced.
Overcoming the challenge with design
To eliminate the awkwardness created by the missing area, we off-set the fire pit and used the turf & games area to balance the space and tie it all together. Large plantings along the perimeter of the pool, following the fence line, further camouflaged the missing section, turing the challenging space into a restful retreat.
Now, instead of gravel and weeds, this summer home has all the amenities of a high-class resort, beckoning the homeowners outside every day.
